Position Title: Field Erector
Reports to: Designated Foreman

Description
We are looking for individuals willing to work across the nation erecting elevated water storage tanks.
“Fear of heights will make this position extremely difficult.”
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Work under an assigned foreman and with crew members to fully erect elevated water storage tanks using basic construction knowledge and techniques
- Practice safe, thorough, and positive work habits
- Study and learn blueprints, sketches or specifications
- Use basic math skills to calculate dimensions and weights
- Inspect material to be welded or worked on
- Maintain equipment and machinery
- Ignite torches or start power supplies
- Use of an Oxy/Acetylene torch
- Weld using a variety of different techniques, in various positions and anywhere from the ground to 200 feet in the air
- Grind and gouge metal for possible extended periods of time
- Lift heavy equipment and tools throughout the work day
- Use rigging techniques with heavy equipment and setting steel using key plates, bull pins, keys, shims, lifting lugs, nuts, u bars, and scaffold clips
- Weldments will be in conformation to AWS D1.1 and AWWA D100
Required and Desired Abilities/Qualifications
- Must be able to perform job duties at heights up to 200 feet
- Must be comfortable working in the elements year round
- Must be able to demonstrate safe and positive work habits
- Must be willing to work 40 plus hours per week
- Willing to travel to remote locations to perform work
- Must have a reliable vehicle to travel with
- Must have a working knowledge of all aspects of the welding industry
- Able to pass weld test(s) in horizontal, vertical, and overhead position per ASME Section IX
- Confident with shielded metal arc welding (6010, 7018) and flux core are welding
- Able to consistently produce X-Ray quality welds in production
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Shop Welder
Location: Avon, In

- Work under a Shop Supervisor and with shop team members using applied practices
- Practice safe, thorough, and positive work habits
- Study and learn blueprints, sketches or specifications
- Use basic math skills to calculate dimensions and weights
- Inspect material to be welded or worked on
- Perform final inspection on your finished welds
- Use of an Oxy/Acetylene torch
- Weld using a variety of different techniques and in various positions
- Grind and gouge metal for possible extended periods of time
- Using overhead bridge cranes to move material around
- Use rigging techniques with overhead bridge cranes and fitting steel using key plates, bull pins, keys, shims, lifting lugs, nuts, u bars, etc.
- Types of welding will be done with GMAW/FCAW/SMAW
- Weldments will be in conformation to AWS D1.1 and AWWA D100
Required and Desired Abilities/Qualifications
- Must be able to demonstrate safe and positive work habits
- Must be able to perform job duties safely and within a timely manner
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be willing to work 40 plus hours per week
- Must have a reliable transportation
- Must have a working knowledge of all aspects of the welding industry
- Able to pass weld test(s) in horizontal and vertical position per ASME Section IX
- Able to weld using FCAW and GMAW
- Able to consistently produce X-Ray quality welds in production
