Residents of the Misty Acres sub-division northeast of Dexter and along County Roads 517 and 717 are now receiving treated water from Public Water Supply District #4 as work continues on a $2,155,035.88 project to replace old water lines and expand service.
Workers contracted by Phoenix Fabricators are nearing completion of the new 150,000 gallon water tower. Water District Board President Tim Fowler said workers were completing the painting of the tower on Tuesday. He said the paint will allowed to be cured for several days and then a sanitizing process with be completed. He estimated the new tower would be in service in four to six weeks.
