The regular meeting of the California Board of Aldermen, Monday, June 6, was dominated by updates and discussion concerning a variety of city projects either underway or being planned.
The renovation work of the million-gallon water tower on Russellville Road is about 80 percent complete. The painting should be wrapped up by the end of June and the remainder of the renovation project completed in July, with the tower put back into service mid-August. The company was granted a 45-day contract extension to complete the work. The work delay was largely due to slower than anticipated subcontractor work and supply delivery.
