Burleson has four major water system projects planned for this year, and the first of the four — a new elevated water storage tank — is already underway.
Project engineer Lance Barton said construction on the tank began March 25 at the southeast corner of Dobson Street and Hidden Creek Parkway, near Hidden Creek Golf Course. The tank should complete next summer, he said.
The new tank, Barton said, was identified in the city’s master water plan as something the city needed for water storage capacity to meet state requirements as Burleson’s population continues to grow. He said the tank and the other three projects in the works “are all about planning for the future.”
