Administrative Assistant

Position

Phoenix is currently searching for an administrative assistant to provide support for the Engineering and Estimating Departments in its Avon, Indiana location.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Drawing distribution to internal departments
• Database maintenance with all job-related information
• Tracking licensing and certificate of authority renewal dates
• Tracking continuing education requirements for individuals in each state
• Assisting with professional license renewals
• Assisting with travel arrangements
• Creating department job files
• Maintaining department calendar
• Serving as back-up to Receptionist
• Serving as back-up in contract administration and procurement of bid bonds
• Ordering office supplies specific to Engineering Department
• Assist Accounting with certified payrolls
• Sorting and preparation for reimbursement of field personnel credit card receipts
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

The following are minimal qualifications for the Administrative Assistant position:

• High school graduate
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written, organizational skills and the ability to work with confidential documents
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and achieve deadlines under pressure

Shop Welder

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Work under a Shop Supervisor and with shop team members using applied practices
Practice safe, thorough, and positive work habits
Study and learn blueprints, sketches or specifications
Use basic math skills to calculate dimensions and weights
Inspect material to be welded or worked on
Perform final inspection on your finished welds
Use of an Oxy/Acetylene torch
Weld using a variety of different techniques and in various positions
Grind and gouge metal for possible extended periods of time
Using overhead bridge cranes to move material around
Use rigging techniques with overhead bridge cranes and fitting steel using key plates, bull pins, keys, shims, lifting lugs, nuts, u bars, etc.
Types of welding will be done with GMAW/FCAW/SMAW
Weldments will be in conformation to AWS D1.1 and AWWA D100

Required and Desired Abilities/Qualifications

Must be able to perform job duties safely and within a timely manner
Must be able to demonstrate safe and positive work habits
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
Must be willing to work 40 plus hours per week
Must have a reliable transportation
Must have a working knowledge of all aspects of the welding industry
Able to pass weld test(s) in horizontal and vertical position per ASME Section IX
Able to weld using FCAW and GMAW
Able to consistently produce X-Ray quality welds in production
