Pennsylvania American Water

In 2012, Phoenix was awarded a contract to work with Pennsylvania American Water to design and build two fluted-column tanks to meet the increasing water demands. The tanks were located on opposite ends of the state and both projects were to run simultaneously. A 600,000-gallon fluted-column tank was specified for Kane, PA, while a 500,000-gallon fluted-column tank was specified for Lewisburg, PA. Both tanks were designed on spread footings and featured antenna corrals as well as hydrodynamic mixing systems.

Phoenix completed the projects simultaneously, met all specified requirements, and the tanks are proudly serving in the elevated water storage fleet of Pennsylvania American Water.
