Increasingly, composite elevated water-storage tanks are the preferred choice for water storage. Aesthetics and long-term economics have increased their popularity, especially for tank capacities of 500,000 gallons and greater. The architectural concrete pedestal creates a modern appearance while providing space inside the base for other uses. In many cases, a composite tank will have a lower life cycle cost than a steel tank due to long-term savings in paint maintenance.

Our proprietary, seven-foot forming system is the safest, most technologically advanced tank-raising system in the industry. The solid interior platform is self-elevating as work progresses up the shaft, allowing ease of adjustment for each form to the exact radius of the first lift’s dimension. Rustication strips create an aesthetically pleasing appearance, and the form’s seven-foot height looks less cluttered than smaller forming systems used by others.
Where Innovation Meets Quality Control
Besides our proprietary, seven-foot forming system, other innovations that set Phoenix apart include:
- Internal and external forms are tied together with thru bolts for proper wall thickness and alignment.
- Pre-assembly of corbels during the manufacturing process ensures precise compliance with the engineered plans and specifications.
- Monolithic pouring of the corbel and dome eliminates the cold joint between the tank and ring beam, providing the tank owner with the best product available.
- Bulkheads placed around the circumference of the shaft reduce the potential for pour lines and create superior aesthetics.
- The platform does not support domes during placement and remains approximately seven feet below the work level to provide a safe work environment.
