Newton, KS, is well known for its local artwork featuring clouds against a blue sky. It was only fitting that the water tower reflects this unique look as well. Phoenix worked with the owner and consulting engineer to modify the design and dimensions of our standard 500,000-gallon Composite Elevated Tank’s head range and pedestal diameter to make the tank fit the artwork and truly make this tank “one of a kind.”  

Phoenix worked very closely with the template to ensure the cloud scene was properly dimensioned and applied by our own crews. This unique tank went on to receive the coveted title of “Tank of the Year” from Tnemec and proudly serves the City of Newton.
